Please help me welcome Michelle Guigneaux, RN HCE, to our clinics for 2013 visits! Michelle will schedule the visits (as she is able) for your convenience and with avoidance of patient flow interruptions in mind.
During these visits, Michelle and I want to use your time prudently; if it is helpful for you to email me in advance of the visit, in order to let me know what continues to be confusing on the processes established in 2012, feel free. If I don’t hear from you, then we will use our standard process established to hopefully spot ’things’ missed in 2012 audits, as well as how best to improve our program in 2013. We hope to engage ’all’ staff conducting the procedures for HLD, steam autoclave and Steris using ’Staff Knowledge’ questions.
As always, I enjoy interacting with clinic staff, and look forward to the opportunity to be in our terrific clinics! Thanks in advance! Peggy
UTMB Health’s Transportation Department helps move patients between our care units and service department areas. They also provide outpatient shuttle services to and from our Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes and several other off-campus clinics.
Shuttle service is provided Monday through Friday, except on UTMB holidays, or as noted in the schedules below. The transportation dispatch desk is open 24 hours everyday, and can answer shuttle or other transportation-related questions.
To reach the dispatch desk, please call (409) 772-1512.
EAC representatives Craig Kovacevich (black jacket) and Michele Lockwood (red jacket) met with nursing triage staff at the Clear Lake Access Center office February 6th for an “Engage and Chat”
The Employee Advisory Council (EAC) has started a new employee outreach program called Engage and Chat. These sessions will take place across the university with the intent to reach out to as many employee groups as possible.
The purpose of Engage and Chat (E and C) is to: introduce employees to the EAC, familiarize employees with the role of the EAC, and advise employees how to become engaged and communicate with the group.
The first Engage and Chat was held at the Clear Lake Access Center on February 6, 2013. Thanks to all the participants, the event was a huge success!
